Friend's Organisation For Rural Development (FRIENDS)

Friend's Organisation For Rural Development (FRIENDS) is a non-profit organisation established in the year 1997. The organisation is operational in the Sadar block of Odisha. FRIENDS works for the overall development of the rural people. It aims to introduce new technologies in agriculture and horticulture departments.

Our Programs

Empowerment of women

Empowering women helps to create a more just and equitable society for everyone. FRIENDS organisation aim at organizing rural community into village level organizations so as to identify, analyze and plan development activities through their participation. We also want to formulate a system where village level organizations conduct monthly meetings and convert problems into opportunities.

Environment protection

Farming, as we all well know, is a challenging profession. New challenges have arisen in recent years due to changes in the climate and global economy. Factors like poor infrastructure, lack of modernisation and declining productivity have hampered Indian farmers from breaking out of the cycle of debt and poverty. FRIENDS want to advocate innovative and sustainable methods to support agricultural development for tribal people and small Indian farmers and also enhances to protect environment through various initiatives.
